We were utterly reliant on Checkatrade to source us a trustworthy contractor for our repair job. We signed up and listed our requirements, but unfortunately, we were left high and dry.

It all starts with their sneaky charges, which they hide in the legalese. Then, there's the terrible support that's about as incompetent as a chocolate teapot. You can try to raise an issue, but it's like talking to a wall.

We thought we were doing the right thing by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so trustworthy with their qualified traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.
Then, the response from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and gave us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to resolve the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.
In the end, we ended up getting ripped off by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.
We're left feeling frustrated and suggest looking elsewhere for your tradesman needs.
